Texas Pure wood mulch - is ground woody material collected from residential yard trimmings. It is available in bulk and bagged quantities. When spread over the bare soil surface it helps retain soil moisture, protects plant roots from temperature extremes, and inhibits weed growth. Mulch also protects sloping ground from soil erosion and helps prevent soil compaction caused by driving rain on open soil surfaces.
