Texas Pure soil blend is a mixture of approximately 50% Texas Pure compost and 50% local soil and sand. This blend provides a growing media ideal for our climate and most plants. The compost contributes organic matter that enhances the physical characteristics of the soil, increases nutrient levels, adds beneficial microorganisms that help with disease resistance and helps improve both the drainage and water holding capacity of the soil.
Texas Pure Soil Blend Uses
Garden and Landscape Beds
Easy to use! No extra tilling needed. The work is already done for you. Just spread Texas Pure Soil Blend to the desired depth for your beds or fill to the depth of your raised bed frames (6 to 12 inches recommended). Then just plant your seeds or plants!
Trees and Shrubs
The deeper and bigger a plant's root system will be, the less it should depend on your amending its planting soil. You should give annuals and perennials, vegetables, groundcovers and small shrubs the best possible soil preparation.
Larger shrubs and shade trees will soon outgrow the amended areas, so it isn't necessary to go to as much trouble for them. Just be careful to select plants that will grow in conditions of the native soil you provide for them.
Potted Plants
Texas Pure Soil Blend is ready to use as a potting mixture for your plants. Just fill your pot and place your plants.
