On November 10, 2008, City of Plano Ordinance No. 2008-11-16 was passed increasing certain class fees. The following fees are effective January 1, 2009.
2010 Certified Food Manager Class Schedule and Registration $100.00

2010 Food Handler Schedule and Registration $20.00

On-line Certified Food Manager Prep Course
Due to the increased appeal and convenience of on-line courses a new program was developed to provide a self-study, self-paced course via the internet for those interested in taking the Certified Food Manager Examination. The program follows the same outline of information as the Accredited Certified Food Manager course offered by the Health Department. This is only a preparation course for the examination. The examination can be taken, in person, at the City of Plano Health Department or any Test Site. Click on the link above titled Challenge Exam for scheduling and registration.
Food Handler Course
The City of Plano Health Department is proud to announce that the Food Handler Class is also available online. The course is offered in English and Spanish and there are 6 sections in this course. The cost of the course ranges from $24 - $30 and payable online at the beginning of the course. Once you have completed and passed the final exam, you will be immediately issued a certificate you can download and print for your records. The City of Plano Health Department will be notified of your passing status and you will be registered as a Certified Food Handler within the City of Plano, as of the date of completion.
