What happens to materials donated to the Plano Public Libraries?

Library staff members evaluate materials to see if they can be added to the collection. Materials not added to the collection are sold at Friends of the Plano Public Library annual used book sale, ongoing library sales, or on the Internet.  The library disposes of any unacceptable materials.  Profits from book sales benefit the Plano Public Library System.

Where are book donations accepted?

Donations are accepted at all five Plano libraries during business hours.  For your convenience, you may drive to the loading dock and ring the bell.  Someone will answer to accept your donations and give you a receipt.
