May I bring in my own caterer? May we bring in our own alcohol?
Plano Centre's catering department is the exclusive caterer for Plano Centre. Our Catering Manager will assist you in selecting from our wide variety of menus. Our chefs can also custom design a menu for your special event. We also handle all bar service. Events serving alcohol may require security. Security is provided by the Plano Police Department at the customer’s expense. The current rate is $35 per hour per officer with a four-hour minimum. Plano Centre management determines the ratio of guests to officers.
How many guests can your facility seat?
Collinwood Hall can seat up to 2,000 theatre style and up to 1,400 banquet style. The Windhaven Room can accommodate up to 350 theatre and up to 200 banquet. Please refer to our room capacity chart for additional rooms and set-ups.
How soon can I book an event? Will you hold a date? How do I secure a date?
Events can be booked up to one year out. Tradeshows and conventions are booked two years in advance. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. A non-refundable 50% deposit, (half of total rental fee) and a signed contract are required to secure a date on our books.
What does the room fee include?
The lease fee covers rental of the room, tables and chairs, set-up and tear down. Our catering fees include table linens, china, glassware and flatware. Tradeshows and expos pay extra for furtniture.
What additional costs do I face?
General liability insurance is required for tradeshows, conventions and events open to the public. Reservations with catering services will include applicable charges plus 20% service and and 8.25% sales tax. Plano Centre management will determine appropriate policy and limits.
May I decorate the room?
You may use non-residual tape, T-pins and push pins to decorate for your event. Nails, hooks, screws, tacks, staples, putty, double-sided tape or strong adhesive tape may not be used. You are responsible for any damages to the facility and removal of all decorations, materials, trash, residue etc. after the event. The Plano Centre will provide trash cans. Decorations causing a high volume of trash and debris are subject to clean-up charges.
May I bring a display vehicle into the Hall?
Yes, Collinwood Hall has a 12’ x 12’ street level move-in door. You may bring in a display vehicle. The Plano Fire Marshall requires that the gas tank contain less than 1/8th tank of gas, the gas cap taped off, the battery disconnected and protective plastic placed under the engine.
May we distribute food samples from our booth?
Yes, 1 oz sample size portions of your product may be distributed. Exhibitors distributing food samples must obtain a City of Plano Special Event Health Permit and provide proof of insurance.
Do you allow outdoor signage or outdoor banners?
The Plano Centre has a scrolling marquee at the corner of Spring Creek and Jupiter. Only events open to the public will be listed on the marquee for that day only. The City of Plano restricts outdoor signage and banners. Any outdoor signage must be approved by City of Plano Building Inspections.

Can I bring my own specialty cake?
Yes, only bakery made cakes are allowed. For special events not open to the public, a cake cutting service is available.
Are pets allowed? No, only recognizable service animals are allowed. The American Disabilities Act defines a service animal as any dog that is trained to perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. The only exception are housebroken miniature horses who are under control and are actually trained for the service to be performed.
