When you dial 9-1-1 within the borders of Plano you don't typically have to worry about the phone connecting you to the right place. If you are calling from a landline phone (one that plugs in to the wall) your phone company  established the routing of the call to our call center when they set up your service; and even if you don't pay for service anymore that phone should still be able to call 9-1-1 and provide us automatically with your address and possibly additional information.
