The Plano Emergency Management & Homeland Security Department recruits, trains and supervises citizen volunteers.  

Currently the Emergency Management volunteer program is at capacity for 2009-2010 and is not accepting any new volunteer or continuing education applications. Unless a new volunteer is qualified through another City and has received a CERT basic training certification.
