Stage 3 Water Restrictions Remain in Place
The North Texas Municipal Water District continues to enact Stage 3 water restrictions through the end of May. In spite of recent heavy rainfall and changes to the U. S. Drought Monitor, significant concerns remain regarding our local water supply. With the continued loss of Lake Texoma due to Zebra mussels, remaining La Nina atmospheric conditions and lake levels remaining below needed measurements, water conservation is still necessary to whatever degree possible.
Occasional spring-like days may tempt landscape watering but please keep irrigation systems turned off. With recent rains and dormant plant
materials there is no need to irrigate at this time.
