Game Status Information

Game status for each day's scheduled softball games will be available on weekdays Monday-Friday after 4 pm and on Sunday after 1 pm. Football game status will be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after 4 pm. Game status for Tuesday baseball will be available after 4 pm. Baseball games on Saturdays will be played unless otherwise posted on this message board (see link above). There will be no advance information provided prior to these times.

You can also call 972-941-7278 Monday-Friday after 4 pm and Sunday after 1 pm for updates (option 1-softball, option 2-football, option 3-baseball).

If inclement weather moves into the Heritage Yards softball area, the football fields, or the baseball fields after these times, staff will update the rain-out phone lines and message board as soon as games have been canceled. If weather is at all questionable, please continue to monitor our website and phone rain-out line on a regular basis.

Adult League Play

  Slow-Pitch Softball Leagues

Leagues sanctioned by the Amateur Softball Association are available for three seasons per year. These are Spring (February-May), Summer (May-July), and Fall (August-October). Leagues consist of three divisions: Men’s, Coed, and Men’s Church. Various skill levels are AA, A, and Recreational.  Minimum age requirement is 15 years.

ASA Banned Bats
The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA), through the Bat Testing and Certification Program has determined that several bats containing an ASA certification mark are no longer eligible for use in sanctioned play. Click here for the ASA Web site information. A list of "grandfathered" bats which will be no longer authorized by ASA beginning in 2008 is available through this link.

Softball Officiating
Want to look cool in powder blue? Join the Plano Umpires Association and learn how to officiate adult slow-pitch softball. Amateur Softball Association umpire certification classes are offered annually in February for both rookies and veterans. Minimum age is 18. Instruction includes training in field mechanics. Contact the Adult Sports Programs Office for more information.


  Baseball Leagues

During the Spring season (March-August), teams may register for either an Open division (22 games) or a 35-and-Over division (16 games). During the Fall season (August-November), teams may register for an Open division only (16 games). All teams in both seasons will advance to a double-elimination playoff tournament.

  Flag Football Leagues

Both Men’s and Coed recreational leagues, 8 x 8, are offered during the Spring (February-April), Summer (May-July), and Fall (September-November) seasons. All leagues follow Texas Amateur Athletic Federation rules. Minimum age requirement is 18. Coed flag football is new for Summer 2012!!
